Jessica Bertolasi is a PhD student in the Unit for Visually Impaired People (U-VIP) directed by Dr. Monica Gori at the Italian Institute of Technology in Genova. She received her Bachelor's Degree in Electronic and Computer Engineering at Università degli Studi di Ferrara in 2020 with a thesis in Artificial Intelligence and then a Master's Degree in Bioengineering at Università degli Studi di Genova in 2022, with a specialization in Neuroengineering and Bio-ICT curriculum. During her master course, she studied Neuromorphic Computing and Motor Control and realized a thesis coupling these two themes developing a tracking device for Visual Inertial Odometry based on event-base camera. 

Actually, she is working in collaboration with IRCCS Ospedale Policlinico San Martino in Genova in the JointLab Antares to integrate engineering and psychological knowledge to study perceptual correlates in schizophrenic patients.
